Orders and Deadlines
29.1 The Beginner's Guide at the website gives an example showing the preferred format for orders. The subject line should include the character's initials and the game month the orders are for (e.g. Arcadia - June orders for AdT). Copies of orders sent should be kept until the turn report comes out, just in case they are somehow mislaid in transit. Orders should be sent to the GM directly rather than to the mailing list.
29.2 The following orders are 'sticky' and remain at their current values unless a change is ordered:
29.3 NMR (No Move Received) orders can be sent and will be kept in reserve in case needed. Similarly, advance orders can be sent to cover holidays and other absences.
29.4 The turn report will state the Announcements and Orders deadlines for the next month's turn. In general there will be about 4 or 5 days between these deadlines to allow players time to read the press and compose their orders. Orders deadlines will typically be between 2 and 3 weeks apart, except for the game's Summer season where deadlines will be shortened if a significant proportion of characters are at the front. If no orders are received by the orders deadline, the character will do use London default orders that month unless NMR orders are held or that character is at the front.
29.5 After the announcements deadline, a message will be sent to the mailing list from the GM (or a volunteer assistant) detailing announcements for that month (such as planned parties, job applications, uses of influence, intention to volunteer, etc).
29.6 The default orders that will be used for a player is he does not turn in orders, is not at the front, on mission, or on expedition, and does not have NMR orders on file will be the following:
